I came across this photo in a paper today. Britney with a shaved head attacking K-Feds car with an umbrella.Quote from E-news:
"One shaved scalp and two new tattoos later, the 25-year-old entertainer decided to take a second stab at rehab, checking herself into Promises on Monday at the urging of her family."
I feel so bad for this girl... I see in her the face of pretty much all of us young women these days... and the face of our society as a whole. I'm happy that she shaved her hair - what a cleansing! I'm proud of her for getting rid of the fakeness that it represented. Britney, I send you energies of healing, in a true deep way. I hope that you'll make it past this mess, and be a guiding light for other young women who will follow you.
We put these young stars up on pedestals, we make them into goddesses, and then we shoot them down. It represents the self destructiveness we all feel inside... we are destroying ourselves. Look at Britney, the Olsen Twins, Lindsey Lohan... and the latest tragic example of Ana Nicole. What is wrong with this world when the young people we're supposedly worshipping are destroying themselves!?!?
But Madonna survived this self destruction some how... so I have to trust we can too.
