I believe in your creative power. I believe it can help you tune into who you truly are... Who you're meant to be. And I believe this will change the world.

The weird green bug and my sketchbook theme

So my theme for the Sketchbook Project is "...you'd be home already." I chose it because home, heart, and the deepest truth of love has been my focus lately. My motto: "take good care of myself, my family and my home" in that order. I truly feel so thankful for the life I am privileged to live here in "my neck of the woods" in the Catskills. It's not for everyone, but it sure does this body good.
I feel there is a very strong correlation between home and heart... the building we live in and the body we {as in the We that is greater than we} inhabit. It felt natural then to shape use this theme as the starting point.

As a beautiful example of inspirations that have to do with my home, I wanted to share this photo I took of a very odd little creature. It is literally NEON {and I mean unmistakable 80's NEON} green and about the size of my pinky finger {yes, you are right to gasp, it is large!}. It was lurking around on some leaves just outside my kitchen window. I spotted it while putting away the water hose for the winter. I thought it might have been some sort of girl's scrunchy, or something. It literally reminded me of some weird little alien.

So there you have it, now my posts about the Sketchbook Project include monkeys, squirrels, bugs and aliens! Inspiration galore.

Oh, and a fun update... Abby, my college roommate is now also an official participant in the program, and hopefully Thio (Bob) will be as well. I hope they will share their experiences here with us.
