I believe in your creative power. I believe it can help you tune into who you truly are... Who you're meant to be. And I believe this will change the world.

Call me a squirrel...

In my previous entry I made reference to myself as a sketch monkey, so in this one, I am continuing the creature theme. I'm calling myself a squirrel because I'm gonna nutshell this Sketchbook Project concept for those of you who are not familiar with it yet.
The Sketchbook Project: 2011

So, in that aforementioned nutshell, the basic premise of this project is:
  • The Sketchbook Project is organized by the Brooklyn Art Library
  • You get a sketchbook with a barcode on it so it is trackable
  • You sketch in it for 3 months and send it back
  • It then goes around a national tour along with thousands of other sketchbooks
  • Every time someone looks at yours, the barcode gets scanned and you get a message letting you know your book was viewed
  • After the tour is done, the books go back to the art library to be a part of their collection, and in a way, a historical archive of what this sample of population was thinking about and creating in 2011.
  • Anyone can participate by signing up before October 31, 2010 -the cost is $25.
Yeah, it's cool. You should sign up too!
